We are thrilled to welcome you to our school family! As Jaguars, you will not only dive into rigorous academics but also explore exciting extracurricular opportunities that help you grow as a whole person. You are joining a proud tradition of scholars who have paved the way with excellence, and now it’s your turn to leave your mark.

Rising 9th Parent Interest Night, 1/27/26
On January 27th, 2026, MJHS hosted an informational session for our rising 9th grade families. We discussed the academic, athletic, and extra-curricular offerings at MJHS. Participants heard from key staff, learned about 9th grade course selections, next steps, upcoming dates, and how to stay informed.
What is Summer Bridge?
- 2-3 day orientation for new 9th graders
- Happens in late July, a few days before school begins (exact dates coming soon!)
- Learn about expectations of high school, tour the building, meet teachers & other students
- Participate in workshops, mini info sessions, a scavenger hunt, games & more!
- Pick up a copy of your 9th grade schedule
Course Selections For The 9th Grade Year
In March, MJHS counselors travel to our feeder middle schools to assist 8th graders in making their initial course selections for the 9th grade year. We discuss academic options, rigor, pathways, electives, & more. Once students submit their initial requests, parents will receive an email with a draft of their choices. It will also include an invitation to schedule a 1:1 virtual meeting with your child’s MJHS counselor to finalize their selections for the 26-27 school year.
